An American writer, producer, and journalist of German origin, born in New York, United States. He graduated from Columbia University in New York in 1917. He worked as the managing editor of The American Jewish Chronicle newspaper. He married Shulamith Sara Aaronson and worked as a newspaper writer in Berlin during the period from 1920 to 1922, as he worked in preparing political reports. His credits include It's a Wonderful World (1939) and The Pride of the Yankees (1942). He died on March 5, 1953.
