A German actor, born in Augsburg, Germany. He graduated from Melanchthon-Gymnasium Nürnberg in 1960, then studied law. He did not complete his studies in order to train in acting, then he worked at Schauburg in Munich, then at the Theater St. Gallen in Switzerland, after which he continued his career through the cinema screen. Some of his credits are The NeverEnding Story (1984) and Iron Sky (2012).
