A Filipino actor, director, and producer, born in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. He is the father of the actress Marella Torre. He studied at Saint La Salle University in Bacolod City, Philippines. His works include On the Job, 3rd World Hero, The Bourne Legacy, and Lipa 'Arandia' Massacre: Lord, Deliver Us from Evil. He directed 13 episodes of the series Maalaala Mo Kaya. In the field of production, he produced Ang beerhouse (2009) and co-produced Amigo (2010).
