Emilia Clarke is an English actress, born on October 23, 1986 in London, England but raised in Berkshire. Her father is a theater engineer and her mother is a businesswoman. Clarke became passionate about drama when her mother took her to see her father working on a play when she was three. She joined St. Edward’s School in Oxford (2000-2005) where she appeared in two school plays. She also joined the Drama Center in London, where she participated in ten plays and appeared on BBC’s TV series Doctors. In 2010, upon graduation, she landed her first role in the TV movie Triassic Attack but her debut was in the hit TV series Game of Thrones (2011), for which she received four Emmy Award nominations. Clarke is known for Terminator Genisys (2015), Me Before You (2016), and Voice from the Stone (2017).
