A Scottish actor, born in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. He was educated at the Edinburgh Academy, and the University of Aberdeen, then he graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He is best known for playing Jorah Mormont in the Game of Thrones series. His works include Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Kingdom of Heaven, Resident Evil: Extinction, and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
