Linda “Lin” Shaye is an American film, theater and television actress. She studied at the University of Michigan, before moving to New York to appear in theatrical productions called Off Broadway, which are smaller in scale than Broadway theaters. She then moved to Los Angeles in the late 1970s to pursue an acting career in film. Since then she has appeared in numerous character roles, in films like The Long Riders, Alone in the Dark, Slam Dance, Lucky Stiff, Book of Love, and Insidious: Chapter 3.
