Mohamed Hassan was born in Alexandria on February 28, 1988. He studied film directing and production at the Higher Institute of Cinema and obtained a BA of Engineering, majoring in Computer in 2009. He directed a number of music videos and short films. He worked as a trainee director in the movie, The Island (2007).
