She is an Australian filmmaker born and raised in Newcastle, Australia. She graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. She studied acting, and worked on many independent films and TV series. In 2007, she directed and produced the movie Love is Love and worked on The Perfect Family (2011).
