An Ethiopian-Irish actress, born in Addis Ababa in 1982, to an Ethiopian father and an Irish mother. She lived in Ethiopia until the age of 4 but moved to Limerick in Ireland where she grew up after the death of her father. She studied at the Samuel Beckett Centre at Trinity College, Dublin, graduating with a BA in Acting Studies. Her first acting role was in the Irish movie Capital Letters and she has also worked on American films such as Fury, World War Z, and 12 Years a Slave.
