A Qatari writer and academic, born in 1951. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Beirut University in 1976. He traveled to the United States to specialize in educational media and obtained a master’s degree in 1982, in addition to a doctorate in journalism and media from the University of Wales in Britain in 1989. He worked on Qatari television as a broadcaster and producer, then head of the texts and translation unit, a TV news monitor, and finally as an expert in the office of the head of the Radio and Television Authority. He contributed to the establishment of several television channels, such as the Sharjah Channel, prepared dozens of television programs and radio series, and represented Qatar in the Arab States Broadcasting Union. He presented more than 45 studies in literature and culture.
