Geraldine Chaplin, born in 1944, comes from old cinema royalty as the daughter of Charlie Chaplin. She was discovered while studying at the Royal Ballet Academy in London, which let to her landing her first role in the monumental "Doctor Zhivago." Her performance earned her a Golden Globe nomination. She earned her third Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of her grandmother in "Chaplin" (1992). Chaplin has chosen to do many French and Spanish-speaking roles. She was awarded the gold medal by the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences in 2006 for her contribution to Spanish cinema.
