A Danish director, writer, and actor, who was educated at the National Film School in Denmark. His works include When a Man Comes Home, Dear Wendy, and Deroute. He won many awards, including the Amanda Award in Norway in 1998 for the film Festen, and the Bodil Award in 1999 for the film Festen.
