A Canadian actor and producer, born in Montreal, Canada, on March 11, 1961. Elias attended Vanier College in Montreal before leaving to join the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York in 1981, from which he graduated. He also studied at the Actors Studio in New York City under Ellen Burstyn and Peter Masterson. His first credited film role was in One Magic Christmas (1985). He also participated in the plays Kiss of the Spider Woman, Death of a Salesman, Bent, and The Cherry Orchard. In 1989, he was nominated for a Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Malarek (1988). He has worked with George Clooney, Woody Harrelson, and Mark Wahlberg.
