Italian cinematographer and actor, born on August 24, 1943 in Tolmezzo, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. He was nominated for an Academy Award twice, in 1998 for L.A. Confidential and in 2000 for The Insider. Among his works are The Last of the Mohicans and Heat.
