Indian actress who was born in 1985 into an artistic family in India. Her father is actor and producer Anil Kapoor, and grandfather was director Surinder Kapoor. She graduated from Arya Vidya Mandir High School and majored in Theater Arts and Chinese History at United World College in East Asia. She also studied political science and economics at Bombay University. She was not interested in acting at the beginning of her artistic career, but the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali urged her to participate in his movie Saawariya (2007). She is known for Delhi 6 (2009).
