A British actor born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England, on May 15, 1909. Mason married twice, first to actress Pamela Mason with whom he has two children. Then he married actress Clarissa Kaye-Mason and remained with her until he died on July 27, 1984. He won the Golden Globe Award for the movie A Star is Born (1954). His notable roles include: Lolita (1962), North by Northwest (1959) and Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959).
