He appeared in many films, but is best known for co-creating and starring in the MTV reality stunt show Jackass, which later turned into a film series including Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two and Bad Grandpa.

Knoxville's film credits also include starring roles in "The Dukes of Hazzard" (2005) and "Lords of Dogtown" (2005), and supporting roles in "Men in Black II" (2002) and "Coyote Ugly" (2000). Lately, Knoxville has made appearances in "Movie 45" (2013) and "The Last Stand" (2013) alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Forest Whitaker.
