A Scottish actor was born in the United Kingdom and raised in Portobello. He attended George Heriot School before starting to study English and French literature at the University of Aberdeen. He dropped out after only one year, from which he moved to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and graduated in 2005. He started his career by participating in some television works and then to the world of cinema. Among his works are: Game of Thrones, Prometheus, Filth and Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens.
