An American voice actor and radio personality, born on May 30, 1908, in San Francisco, California, USA. He started his career on the radio in 1927. He tried in 1936 to join Leon Schlesinger Productions, which was making cartoon shorts for Warner Bros., and he eventually managed to. He worked on Picador Porky (1937), which was his first cartoon, and provided the voice of a drunken bull. He played his first starring role providing Porky Pig's voice in Porky's Duck Hunt, in which the character of Daffy Duck, also voiced by Blanc, was introduced. Blanc also voiced the character of Woody Woodpecker. He died on July 10, 1989, in Los Angeles, California, USA, of heart disease and emphysema.
