An Egyptian writer, born in Sharqia Governorate. He received a bachelor's degree in commerce. He held several positions, including Assistant Editor-in-Chief of October Magazine and Editor-in-Chief of El Qessa Magazine. He published many books, including the novels That's the Way She Is and Egyptian Nights. His TV work includes Salome and Midday Dreams, in addition to the movie A Groom for Fatema.
