American-Japanese actor, director, and writer, born in Massachusetts, USA on March 24, 1960. His acting debut was in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), and he is known for Go for Broke (2018), Under the Blood-Red Sun (2014). He won an Oscar for Best Short Film for Visas and Virtue (1997).
