An American actor, born on December 6, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan. He is best known for his role as the legendary composer Mozart in the 1984 movie Amadeus, which won 8 Academy Awards, and for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Most of his works after that were on television in addition to his theatrical work, appearing in very few movies, such as Stranger Than Fiction (2006) and Jumper (2008).
