American actor, born in Michigan. In the early 1980s, he appeared in films and television series. In 1987, he starred in the British horror film, The Stepfather. He gained wide fame through the series, Lost series (2004-2010), during which he played the character John Locke, for which he won an Emmy Award in 2007.
