A Mexican-American producer and writer, born in Mexico City. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Roberto collaborated with Alex Kurtzman, and together they worked as screenwriters and producers on some of the most successful American films at the box office, most notably the third part of the Mission: Impossible series in 2006, the first and second parts of the Transformers series in 2007 and 2009, the Star Trek film in 2009, as well as the second part of the The Amazing Spider-Man film series in 2014.
