He was born in New York City on June 5, 1978 . Kroll began his career as an author of comedy and stand-up comedy programs. In 2007, Kroll introduced his comedy character Fabrice in various television acts. Kroll's comedy success earned him many roles in films and television. Kroll also co-starred in The Story (2009), Captain Underpants, Sing and Sausage Party .
