German writer, born in Bielefeld, Germany. He studied German and theater studies at the universities of Berlin, Munich, and Göttingen. His works include Das Wirtshaus im Spessart (1958), The Girl from Flanders (1956), and Aren't We Wonderful? (1958). He died on July 26, 1986, in Germany.
