An American physician and author, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University, where he studied medicine. He's known for writing medical thrillers novels. His novel Extreme Measures (1991), was adapted into a 1996 film of the same name. He died on October 30, 2013.
