An Iranian film and TV actress, born on June 11, 1977, and raised in Tehran. She studied natural science, after which she studied video editing. Her father prevented her from acting at first. Afshar began her career by acting in the Iranian television series Gomshodeh (Lost) in 1997, then participated in the movie Doostam (Friends) in 1998. Among her notable work are Pay Back (2010), Felicity Land (2011), and The Snow on the Pines (2012).
