An American folk singer, born and raised in Detroit, USA. In the late 1960s, he released his album Cold Fact in Detroit. Unfortunately, the album did not spread as planned. In 1971, a year after the release of his previous album, Rodriguez produced his second album Coming From...Read more Reality, and the album did not succeed in achieving widespread. This artistic failure affected him, so he decided to stop practicing music and isolate himself completely. During the same period, rumors spread about his public suicide by burning himself in front of an audience watching him at one of his small concerts. Then he returned during the nineties and gained greater fame than before. He received an honorary doctorate from Wayne State University in 2013. He died on August 8, 2023.
