An American actress, born in Grabtown, North Carolina, USA. She was nominated for many awards, and she won Best Actress at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in 1964 and received a star on the Walk of Fame in 1960. She was married 3 times, and all of her marriages ended in divorce. Her works include Pandora and the Flying Dutchman, Mogambo, On the Beach, and The Night of the Iguana. She died on January 25, 1990 in Westminster, London, United Kingdom.
