A Portuguese director, author and editor, born on December 11, 1908 in Oporto, Portugal. He was a jury member at the Venice Film Festival in 1981. His most notable works are: Os Canibais, I'm Going Home, and Gebo and the Shadow. He passed away on April 2, 2015 in Oporto, Portugal.
