A Libyan writer, director, lyricist, and actor, who has many diverse artistic works in Libya and Egypt, including films, drama series, short story collections, poems, and songs in the Libyan and Egyptian dialects. Among his most important works are The Crocodile Bird (2008), Lady of Cairo (1990), and The Dancer and the Jailer (1992). He also won an award from the Cairo Festival of Radio and Television in 1997 for the film Message of Exile, which he wrote and directed. Hassan died on November 2, 2018.
