French-Algerian director born in Paris on 21 February, 1965. He studied law and acting and joined the Film Institute in New York, where he made two short films. He made his debut with The Harem of Madame Osmane (2000), followed by Viva Laldjérie (2004) and Délice Paloma (2007). He is known for Goodbye Morocco (2012), and Lola Pater (2017).
