An American R&B singer-songwriter, producer, and actress, born on January 25, 1981. She released her debut album, Songs in A Minor, through J Records. It was a huge success and sold more than 12 million copies worldwide. Alicia became the best-selling artist of 2001. She won five Grammy Awards in 2002 for this album. She released her second album, The Diary of Alicia Keys, in 2003, and it was also a success, selling 8 million copies, and winning 4 Grammy Awards. At the end of the same year, she released her third album, Unplugged. Alicia has appeared as a guest in several TV series, such as Charmed. Her first movie was Smokin' Aces, followed by The Nanny Diaries in 2007. In the same year, she released the album As I Am, and won three Grammy Awards. The following year, she appeared in The Secret Life of Bees and was nominated for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.
