American writer, producer, director, and actor, born in Brooklyn, New York City. He attended Marshall University High School and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied directing, acting, and drama. His most prominent writing works include Hill Street Blues, Twin Peaks, and Fantastic Four.
