An Irish actor, born in Dublin on October 21, 1976. He made his film debut at the age of 17 in the movie Korea. He studied drama at Trinity College Dublin then joined the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. He is best known for his role as Jim Moriarty in the series Sherlock (2010-2017). His other notable work includes Victor Frankenstein (2015) and Spectre (2015). He received many awards and nominations, including a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for his role in Black Mirror.
