An American actor, born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, on February 2, 1909. Frank Albertson received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for his film work. Among his most notable films are Man Made Monster (1941), It's a Wonderful Life (1946), and Psycho (1960). His debut...Read more was in the silent film The Covered Wagon (1923), after which he turned to the theater. When sound was introduced to films, he returned in Prep and Pep (1928). At the beginning of his career, he sang and danced in films such as Just Imagine (1930) and Connecticut Yankee (1931). He also participated with the Marx brothers in the film Room Service (1938). Frank Albertson served in the motion pictures unit of the US Air Force, where he made training films during WWII. Frank Albertson's first television appearance was in The Chevrolet Tele-Theatre (1950), and his last was in the 1964 series The Third Man. Frank Albertson died in his sleep at his home in Santa Monica, California on February 29, 1964, at the age of 55.
