Ron Underwood is an American screenwriter and director, born on November 6, 1953 in Glendale, California, and lived in Sri Lanka. After graduating from high school, he attended Occidental College as a pre-med student, but then left it it and enrolled in USC School of Cinematic Arts, at a time when he aspired to become a filmmaker. Underwood specialized in cinema and participated in many works, including the movie Mighty Joe Young (1998).
