A Chilean director, writer and actor, born as Alfredo Arturo Castro Gómez in December 19, 1955 in Recoleta, Chile. He married Taira Court, and they have a daughter, Agatha Castro. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Acting from the University of Chile. He founded the theater company Teatro La Memoria. In 1989, he received a scholarship from the French government for advanced professional studies in theater directing in Paris, Strasbourg and Lyon. He then traveled to London in 1993 on a British Council scholarship to train for an apprenticeship in theater acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. His works include Fuga (2006), Tony Manero (2008) and Post Mortem (2010).
