He is an American sound designer and director, born on June 29, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He attended the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. He is known for Jurassic Park (1993), Ad Astra (2019), and Minority Report (2002). Among his numerous awards and nominations, he shared several Academy Awards and BAFTA Awards for Best Sound and Best Sound Effects Editing for his work on many films, such as West Side Story (2021), Titanic (1997), and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).
