American actress and singer, of Hispanic origin, born on July 28, 1975, in Madrid, to a Spanish father and a British mother. She attended Santamaria High School in Madrid, Spain. She wanted to be a ballerina, but a knee injury made it impossible. At the age of 15, she moved to London in order to take music lessons. She made her debut in 1993. She was nominated for a Goya award for Best Actress in Antonio Mercero's 'La hora de la valientes (1998). Her works include The Oxford Murders (2008), My Life Without Me (2003), and A mi madre le gustan las mujeres (2002).
