American actor and screenwriter. A director of classic comedy, born on August 3, 1950 in Chicago. Among his works are: Animal House, and The Blues Brothers. His level as a writer of horror films declined as he was a director from 1981 and he worked on a distinguished work at that time, American Werewolf in London.
