An Italian author, born on November 27, 1895 in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. He was nominated for an Academy Award in 1948 for the movie Sciuscià. Among his works are: Bicycle Thieves, A Garibaldian in the Convent and Miracle in Milan. He died on January 31, 1954 in Rome.
