Egyptian director and art director born in 1922. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts with a degree in History, Cairo University. He studied film directing in Moscow, Germany, and Switzerland with his then-colleague actor Mahmoud Morsy in the late 60s. He started his career as an AD with many directors such as Ahmed Badrakhan and Hassan Ramzy. He directed several documentaries and worked as a director in Egyptian Television since its first broadcast. His films as an art director include Lady Aziza (1961), The Open Door (1963), and Prince of Cunningness (1964).
