Egyptian director and screenwriter with a degree in history from the Faculty of Arts in 1966. He also got a postgraduate diploma in film directing from the High Cinema Institute in 1970. He started his career in filmmaking with Watch Out for Women's Gang (1986), which he also wrote. He's known for Mizo's Story (1977), Seek the Origin (1987), and Bride Wanted (1990). He died in 2003.
