An Indian actress and model who has worked primarily in Tamil, Telugu, and some Kannada films. After a stint in modelling, she was cast in leading roles in Telugu films. Her debut was in Photo (2006) before landing a role and gaining attention in Kattradhu Thamizh (2007), for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress. She won a Filmfare Award in 2011 and 2012 and has subsequently become recognized as one of the best young actresses of Tamil cinema.
