American director, writer, and producer. He was born in Texas, USA. He attended Memphis University with a scholarship in music before majoring in economics. He then obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Department of Cinematography and joined the Directors Guild of America Training Program in Hollywood in 1970. He is known for Splash (1983), Phyllis (1975-1976), and Happy Days (1976-1977).
