He is a French actor and music composer, born in France. His career began as a composer for animated movies, and from 1987 to 1991, he worked as the musical director for the popular radio program L'Oreille en Coin. He is known for The Science of Sleep (2006), Be Kind Rewind (2008), and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014).
