American animation director and author, born March 15, 1957 in Long Island. He grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He began his two-year education at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he focused on art. Then he studied at the University of California, specializing in animation. He began his career with The Simpsons in 1990, as well as the movie The Simpsons.
