A Canadian-American writer, who has won numerous awards and accolades, including a nomination for the 2022 Humanitas Award for his screenplay for Queen Bees. He was awarded the Margaret Collier Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 Canadian Screen Awards. In 2009, he was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for writing CBC's Celine. In 2002, he was awarded the Golden Jubilee Medal by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in recognition of his work and philanthropy. He is also a member of the Writers Guild of America West and the Writers Guild of Canada, among others. Donald has conducted workshops and lectured at prestigious schools such as the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, Pepperdine University, and NYU's Tisch School for the Arts Asia in Singapore. Some of his works are Brazen (2022) and Milton's Secret (2016).
